A plunge into the heart of Sardinia

The idea of Borgo Cares came about at a time in our lives as restaurateurs when we thought that certain projects we believed in so strongly would no longer be realised.

Unaware that the most important opportunity was just around the corner, and was about to fill our family’s future, it soon turned into an important dream of hospitality to be realised – our new reason for living in an unspoilt, wild and historically rich part of the island.

Borgo Cares is located between Dorgali and Cala Gonone, a short distance from the Baronie, Nuoro and the most important centres of Barbagia.

Dorgali

Dorgali is a municipality on the east coast of Sardinia with a population of over 8,000 inhabitants. The town is divided between the seaside village of Cala Gonone and the mountain village of Dorgali. This unique resort offers breathtaking views of crystal-clear waters and mountains.

An oasis of peace, just minutes from Cala Gonone and Dorgali. Maximum attention to detail, very clean and comfortable room, beautiful pool and excellent breakfast. Friendliness and helpfulness at the highest level. Excellent Wi-Fi. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful place to completely relax! A lot of care goes into the pool, the room, even the terrace and the sun loungers are carefully finished. We also stayed here for dinner, simple but tasty and healthy and enjoyed the view of the green hills and the sea. The staff is super friendly, we received good advice and nothing was too much for them.

Quiet and charming hotel in the middle of the mountains. Ideal location near Cala Gonone (starting point for visiting the Gulf of Orosei by boat) and Dorgali, a typical Sardinian village. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Overlooking a large swimming pool and a very nice terrace with little cosy corners ideal for having breakfast. Very friendly welcome from the owners.
